We announced our new feature alongside a Lollapalooza integration, where festival goers could link their Venmo account to a wristband and leave their wallets behind.
When they open our app to set up the wristband, they would see the introduction to Frenmo.
Around Grant Park,
the venue for Lollapalooza,
we posted reminders of what can happen when you don’t repay friends after a weekend out.
After Lollapalooza, we continued our campaign by targeting users where they're most likely to need help splitting a tab, using check presenter inserts, coasters and through a food delivery app integration.
Next, we placed ads in sport venues and concessions stands, where groups of friends would need our service.
