Bookings are low between the last days of summer and the start of the holidays,
but we know people love this time leading into "spooky season".
To increase stays at Motel 6, we'll capitalize on this through a scare tourism campaign.

Skip paying the overpriced admission fee to a haunted house this year by spending the night in one. Visit an experiential Motel 666 this spooky season for all kinds of frights. Link in bio for details and locations.

6 of Motel 6's locations will be turned into ultimate scare destinations, each themed after a motel in horror history.

The current tagline will be twisted into something more ominous and we'll announce our haunted motels on social media.

Billboards near the experiential motels play into classic horror tropes.

We'll continue with print and local advertising.

Radio Spot

VO: Ah, the sanctuary of your motel room. Driving these long roads alone at night had you on edge.

FX: Sound of door locking

VO: Your imagination must be playing tricks on you.

FX: Heart beating that continues through VO

VO: That shadow in the corner of the room is only the bath robe left for you by housekeeping. The feeling of someone watching you is probably just the 24 hour security team keeping you safe.

FX: Creaking that continues through end of VO

VO: That slow creaking from the closet door is just- wait. *Gasp*… what is that???

FX: Heart beating 3X

VO: Motel 666. Leave the light on.

No need to beware things that go bump in the night, our service team works around the clock to make sure you have everything you need for your stay.

Film students without a large budget often have trouble finding the perfect location. We're opening all of our doors to perspective horror film producers and allowing them to film at any of our locations, no strings attached, in what we' call Project Red Light. These will obviously go on to win awards.
